Lincoln is a city in Tama County, Iowa, United States. The population was 182 at the 2000 census. Before 1920, the community was known as Berlin.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 182 people, 75 households, and 51 families residing in the city. The population density was 396.3 people per square mile (152.8/km²). There were 90 housing units at an average density of 195.9/sq mi (75.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.35% White, 1.65% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.65% of the population.
There were 75 households out of which 29.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% were married couples living together, 6.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.7% were non-families. 28.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 2.92.
In the city the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 26.4% from 25 to 44, 19.2% from 45 to 64, and 22.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 93.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.7 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $33,750, and the median income for a family was $39,750. Males had a median income of $28,250 versus $22,000 for females. The per capita income for the city was $14,313. About 13.7% of families and 15.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 26.3% of those under the age of eighteen and 7.1% of those sixty five or over.
