Linckia guildingii (=Linckia diplax,) also called the common comet star, or Guildings's sea star is a species of starfish in the shallow waters of tropical Pacific and Caribbean[1].
Recent studies have indicated that Linckia guildingii may repepresent several cryptic species[2].
