Stages of a Line-out in rugby union.

  1. Touch Judge indicates where ball left field of play.
  2. Hooker (who will throw the ball in) confirms call.
  3. Hooker throws ball in while the jumper is lifted by two other players.
  4. Jumper catches ball and looks for safe landing.
  5. Players prepare for next phase in play, in this case a maul directly of the line out.
