Limetom was born on 20 December 1987, outside of Baltimore, Maryland. Growing up Limetom had depression, which still affects many aspects of his life. Though his family never moved while he was a child, he recently moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to attend college. His current major is Japanese.
Limetom prefers to use Mozilla Firefox to browse the Internet. He strongly supports GNU General Public License software, including Open Office.org, Inkscape, and GIMP, among others. His current operating system is the Fedora Core Linux distribution.
One of Limetom's interests is Japanese culture as a whole, but mainly anime, manga, and Shinto. His other major interests include Ancient Rome, Irish culture, history, linguistics, religion, and theoretical politics. He plays the bass guitar, and he enjoys roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons and Iron Heroes.
Limetom's favorite color, counter-intuitively, is red. His Wikipedia username, which is the same one that he uses at many other sites, was originally made up while his favorite color was lime. His second favorite color is black.
On Wikipedia, Limetom attempts to be bold while staying civil. Even if his personal feelings would normally dictate otherwise, he tries to remain neutral. He asks others to try to do the same.

Limetom likes the idea of learning different languages in addition to learning about different cultures. As such, he has learned and is learning several languages.

Limetom is a native speaker of American English. He does not consider any one variety of English superior to any other, and thinks that debates on the subject are unproductive.

Limetom knows Latin, but often finds himself consulting a dictionary to either look up words he does not remember or to go over proper grammar. Though he has been known to make mistakes, he tries his best to be as accurate and concise as possible. He does not claim to be an expert.

Limetom is starting his undergraduate degree in Japanese. He has found that Latin is a good starting point for learning other languages due to the complexities involved.

Limetom would like to learn Irish, but finds it too challenging to teach himself.
