I have made various edits on the Limacodidae page, though one major problem with the page is the placement of this family in Cossoidea, which has no scientific support at this time, as discussed in the Handbook of Zoology and in my work in 1996. In otherwords, there are no known uniquely derived characters shared between a Cossoidea which includes Limacodidae and Dalceridae, whereas there are uniquely derived characters shared between Limacodidae, Dalceridae, Megalopygidae and Zygaenidae. I have no problem with it being stated in the text that Limacodidae are placed by some in the Cossoidea, however, I would like to see a lot of evidence using excepted phylogenetic methods that supports this inclusion. Molecular evidence should be providing more evidence in the next few months through the ATOL project for Lepidoptera.
