Limestone Township is one of the six original townships of Kankakee County, Illinois. The population was 4,659 at the 2000 census. It is located immediately west of the City of Kankakee.

It is located at 41.127932 N, -87.941204 W. It has 104.397 km². (40.31 square miles) of land and 2.73 km² (1 sq mi). (1.05 square miles) covered by water. It has 1,693 housing units.

The township is governed by an elected Town Board of a Supervisor and four Trustees. The Township also has an elected Assessor, Clerk, Highway Commissioner and Supervisor. The Township Office is located at 5030 West Route 17, Kankakee, IL 60901.
