Lime Doce (ALUPEC or ALUPEK: Limi Dosi, Brava Crioulo: same name), is a village located between east of Nova Sintra do Monte in the central part of the island of Brava, Cape Verde. The area around Lime Doce are surrounded by mountains, farmlands are in the valley areas in Lime Doce. Brava's tallest mountain lies directly to the east and offers panoramic views of almost the entire island as well as neaby Fogo Island. Nova Lime Doce is linked with the road linking to Nova Sintra do Monte as well as the rest of the island. The mountainous area are made up of rocks and grasses. The living standards are one of the lowest in Cape Verde and income is unlike the south is in the low to middle range, one time, there were no money until the late-20th century. The village is in the island's middle class. Nearly the entire population are farmers and are based in agriculture where banana plantations, pineapple and other crops are common. However, much of the needy materials comes from the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications and appliances are partially available in the area as well as phone lines. A part of the necessities comes from the island capital.
