Lima colorata zealandica is a subspecies of bivalve mollusc in the family Limidae, endemic to New Zealand. It is found around the lower South Island, and Stewart Island, The Snares, and the Chatham Islands, from shallow water to depths of up to 130 m.

The shell is rather large and solid, with a long anterior end, straight to slightly concave and slightly gaping. Sculpture consists of 18 strong rounded radial ribs, bearing short triangular scales, the ribs separated by subequal channelled interspaces.

Coloration is whitish to pale reddish-brown.

Height is up to 68 mm, width 53 mm, and thickness 32 mm.
