[edit] Character history

Lily's first appearance in Santa Barbara came in the middle of 1986. She helped Mason Capwell go thorough the aftermath of Mary DuVall's death, and she always seemed to have the right thing to say to whoever needed advice. She was fighting against the casino in Santa Barbara, and she convinced Hayley Benson to join her, which later turned out to be a huge mistake because Amy Perkins Wallace died in a fire that was started during one of their raids.[1]

Lily then revealed the real reason why she came to Santa Barbara - she is actually Gina DeMott's daughter. Gina realized that Lily is a product of rape, a baby that Phyllis Blake (her mother) told her to be still-born. After realizing that Gina wasn't guilty for anything, Lily forgave her and left town later.

She returned to town in 1991, running away from her past. During the 4 years that she was missing, Lily was involved in the Las Vegas crime scene. She got into a debt and stole money from Lionel Lockridge, but Ted saved her. However, they didn't get together because Ted was, at the time, involved with Katrina Rukyer. She sought love from Rafe Castillo, who was then stolen away by Lisa Fenimore. After Katrina left, Ted and Lily agreed to a plan. They both wanted to make Rafe and Angela Raymond jealous so they'd get them, but eventually Lily and Ted realized that they loved each other and they got married.
