The lede is about the novel, the infobox is a film infobox; shouldn't this article be split into separate ones for the novel and the film as is The Color Purple (The Color Purple (film), The Color Purple (musical))? It would make it easier to feel more comfortable adding things like Category:Films about cooking to the article. AUTiger » talk 01:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use.
