The meaning doesn't make sense, and it has no sources. The lyrics seem to relate to abortion of birth, specially "the placenta falls to the floor". And not organ donation. 201.198.43.138 14:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Image:E404368sif2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. [edit] Not Pearl Jam
I have removed the claim that this song was covered by Pearl Jam in concert. I have seen MP3s labelled as being Pearl Jam covers of "Lightning Crashes", but when I listened to one it was very obviously not Pearl Jam but rather the original band Live! For some reason many people seem to mistake "Lightning Crashes" for Pearl Jam, but to the best of my knowledge Pearl Jam has never covered the song. If anyone can cite a reliable source saying otherwise then they are welcome to put the comment back in, although I don't think it rates a mention in the introductory paragraph.
