[edit] Country

This page says the movie is partially from South Korea, but imdb claims North Korea. Seems odd, but KCCKP (among other) confirms: http://www.kcckp.net/en/periodic/todaykorea/index.php?contents+1794+2006-01+80+27 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.68.157.4 (talk) 05:42, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The title

I'm not really sure about the use of the 'Light Years' title over the original, seeing as that title was used for the edited hack-job by Harvey Weinstein who credited himself as the director over René Laloux. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Takeshi357 (talkcontribs) 22:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] General note

The Film was made in North Korea (according to the note that come with the DVD issue), this is the original french version and also has a short film Le Prisonieres.

One point about this film that is not mentioned the Deformed, they are based on the Characters mentioned in a short story by Cordwainer Smith

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Planet_Named_Shayol , the character in the film who leads Sylvain from the forest to the village inhabited by people made of stone is called Shayol (spelt slightly different in the subtitles).
