[edit] Country

[edit] The title

The Film was made in North Korea (according to the note that come with the DVD issue), this is the original french version and also has a short film Le Prisonieres.

One point about this film that is not mentioned the Deformed, they are based on the Characters mentioned in a short story by Cordwainer Smith

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Planet_Named_Shayol , the character in the film who leads Sylvain from the forest to the village inhabited by people made of stone is called Shayol (spelt slightly different in the subtitles).
