SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! is a SpongeBob SquarePants video game. In order to win a role in "The New Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy" you must take place in a number of tasks called "auditions" in order to beat the game. Each audition is a unique challenge designed by the producers to test for star quality.
It distributes, develops and publishes many games world wide.

When an episode of the popular series "The New Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy", is supposed to be filmed in Bikini Bottom and Mermaidman and Barnacleboy fail to show up, with the show in danger of being cancelled, the show's producer, Gill Hammerstein makes it SpongeBob's job to find Mermaidman and Barnacleboy and gain roles for him and his friends in order for the show to go on.

Generally, as seen by online gaming site reviews and by the overall opinion of SpongeBob SquarePants fans, the game was viewed as one of the better SpongeBob-based video games made so far.
