Light Pupil Dilate is a progressive, noisy, post-punk band from Atlanta, Georgia that often goes by the acronym LPD. They refer to themselves as "southern-gutter-surf." They are signed to the German based record label LifeForce Records

The band went on tours of the eastern USA in 2004, 2005, and 2007 playing with Harlots, Taming the Shrew, Engineer, Nov.5,1955, and many others. They have shared stages with Dead and Gone, Submission Hold, Totimoshi, Kylesa, Meatjack, Today is the Day, Mixel Pixel, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Skeleton Key, Withered, Mastodon, All that Remains, Burnt by the Sun, Cream Abdul Babar, Cutthroats 9, American Heritage and Teeth of the Hydra.

LPD has been in many publications throughout the years garnering high praise from critics and fans alike.[1] They have been critically acclaimed in publications such as Metal Maniacs,[2] Creative Loafing,[3] Southeastern Performer, Rock Sound Magazine, Decibel Magazine, Outburn Magazine, Revolver, etc.

[edit] Vert LLC/Pump House Studio

Michael Green and Eric Searle run the studio/production team known as Pump House Studios under contract with Vert LLC. Within the company Michael Green produced the underground death metal classic "Memento Mori" by the band Withered out on Lifeforce Records. Eric Searle and Michael Green did preproduction for Mastodon's Warner Bros. Records debut Blood Mountain. They have recently completed recording, mixing, and mastering the new album from Mourdella called This Kill is Mine out on Vagina Flambe Records.
