Liga II is the name of the second level division of the Romanian football league system.

Liga II has two parallel regional (West - East) division, each with 18 teams. The top two from each division get promoted to Liga I. The bottom four from each division are relegated to Liga III.

Starting with the 2011/2012 season, Liga II will have only one division of 18-20 teams.[1]
