[edit] Overview
"Life Less Frightening" was the third single off of Rise Against's 2004 album Siren Song of the Counter Culture. The lyrics depict a realization of the horrors of the world and a longing for a "life less frightening" ("...I'm soaking with the sins of knowing what's gone wrong...") and infers that lack of action will only cause the problems to worsen ("Time again I have found myself stuttering/Foundations pulled out from under me."). "Life Less Frightening" is the third track on the album and runs approximately 3 minutes and 44 seconds.
[edit] Chart activity and popularity
"Life Less Frightening" peaked at number 33 on the US Modern Rock Chart. This placed it higher than Give it All (which peaked at 37), and lower than Swing Life Away (which peaked at 12).
