Description
English: The east gate of the guillotine stop lock at Lifford Lane, en:Kings Norton, en:Birmingham, England. This lock was constructed to prevent water loss between the en:Stratford-upon-Avon Canal and the en:Worcester and Birmingham Canal which meet 200 metres to the west of the lock. These gates, dating from 1814, and replacing a more conventional four gate, wide stop lock, are now permanently open as both canals are operated by en:British Waterways.

The lock is en:Grade II* listed and also a en:Scheduled Ancient Monument.
