Lidingö Party
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Lidingö Party is Swedish political party active only on the island of Lidingö, outside Stockholm.
The party can be seen as belonging to the Green Right as it combines traditional centre-right policies, like lower taxation and choice in public services, with wide-reaching support for the protection of Lidingö's environment.
The Lidingö Party was founded in 1973. In the 2006 election, the party received 3235 votes and won 6 seats (one more than 2002) on the City Council.
Considering its centre-right stance, many combine a vote for the Lidingö Party in the local elections with a vote for the Moderate Party in the election to the Riksdag[citation needed].
