[edit] Edits to User talk:TTN

This user is constantly in edit wars on almost all his edits, because he removes significant amounts of content by redirecting pages, without a consensus. I left him a warning about 3RR, but he deleted it, so I left an explanation about how it was preferable to not delete warnings and to not engage in edit wars, but he deleted that too, so I don't know what to do. He doesn't normally violate the 3RR rule. If you look on his talk page he says somewhere that he just lets it die down for a few days, then edits the page when the other editors are not watching it. He always redirects new or unregistered users articles, so that's why he gets relatively few complaints. If you know what can be done to help him understand the fact that his opinion may be wrong and that consensus is preferable, please tell me! Thanks--Jackaranga 01:18, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Where is the consensus? I looked and couldn't find a discussion on the subject. --Libertyernie2 19:31, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:7_Rivers_Region_CW.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:7_Rivers_Region_CW.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 21:47, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disk partitioning article

Just wanted to say I def. agree with your explanation to that guy (and the one before him; if not the same one!) who wanted Mac OSX in place of Windows! You could also add (if it happens again) that further down on the same page, there's a whole section that compares Windows vs. Unix-like / Linux / whatever partitioning and Mac OSX is mentioned there under the latter! So, having Windows and Linux as the two dual-boot categories fits the whole article's CONTEXT much better. Daniel B. Sedory 08:20, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
