Talk:Libertarian Alliance

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lapafrax and 199.67.203.140 are trying to forge the history. Chris Tame was only one of the founders of the original Libertarian Alliance, and in 25 October 1982 he tried, without any authorisation, to "explled" five of the thirteen members of the Executive Committee. However, he didn't have the authorisation to do that, and six months later the Executive Committee expelled Chris Tame. Tame then founded his own organisation called "Libertarian Alliance", currently led by Timothy Evans and Sean Gabb, but it indeed can't claim to have been founded in 1967.

If there is any doubt, I recommend reading there two articles: http://www.la-articles.org.uk/FL-3-3-2.pdf http://www.la-articles.org.uk/FL-3-3-3.pdf --213.243.158.155 10:46, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Christ, I wasn't trying to 'forge history', just make the article less confusing. I take your point about the dates, so perhaps they need to go. As the article stands, however, it's impossible to tell which Libertarian Alliance is which. If you don't like describing them by date of foundation, or you disagree with the foundation dates, please change the subheadings. As things stand, the article is incomprehensible. - 199.67.203.140 13:19, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Confusion

I originally changed the page because it was too confusing. There was no differentiation between the two organisations. If you don't want the dates to be displayed, fine. But the page should be presented in a better fashion, so it's easier to people to read. --Lapafrax 14:00, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
