Yes it does. Moreso, Libby Dam, near Libby on the Kootenay River, creates the rather large Lake Koocanusa. the Kootenay River mentions that it flows by Libby. Pfly 03:46, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Seems to be spelled Kootenay by Canadians, and Kootenai by Americans. --Delirium (talk) 11:54, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
