Libon is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Albay, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 66,213 people in 12,572 households. Libon is known regionally as the "Rice Granary of Albay".

Mrs. Agnes "Bem" Perez Dycoco has served as town mayor since 2004. The vice mayor (also since 2004) is the Honorable Domingo "Jun" F. Sazon, Jr., who also presides over the Sangguniang Bayan.

Being the rice granary of the province, still agriculture plays an important role in this town's economy. Libon has it's regional port in Pantao (still under construction) which aims to serve the island province of Masbate and some parts of the Visayas region.
