Libina

Libina is a village in the Šumperk District of the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has a population of about 3,465 (2006) and covers an area of about 27 km2.

The village is eight km long and is located at the foot of the Jeseníky Mountains. It is divided into three administrative parts: Dolní Libina, Horní Libina and Obědné.

The village existed more than six centuries ago and was first mentioned in 1344. The monuments of the village include the chapel in Dolní Libina part, St. George’s Church or new renaissance building of Langer’s villa.
