Liberty Hill is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,409 at the 2000 census, and 1,491 in the 2005 census estimate.

Liberty Hill is located at [3], about 29 miles northwest of Austin.
(30.664219, -97.911261)According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.9 square miles (5.0 km²), of which, 1.9 square miles (4.9 km²) of it is land and 0.52% is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,409 people, 459 households, and 358 families residing in the city. The population density was 738.7 people per square mile (284.8/km²). There were 494 housing units at an average density of 259.0/sq mi (99.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 89.21% White, 0.21% African American, 0.64% Native American, 0.50% Asian, 8.23% from other races, and 1.21% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 18.52% of the population.
There were 459 households out of which 39.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.4% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.0% were non-families. 18.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.99 and the average family size was 3.42.
In the city the population was spread out with 32.7% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 9.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 101.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.7 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $41,859, and the median income for a family was $48,382. Males had a median income of $36,912 versus $25,463 for females. The per capita income for the city was $20,323. About 9.3% of families and 7.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.7% of those under age 18 and 24.4% of those age 65 or over.

The City of Liberty Hill is served by the Liberty Hill Independent School District.
In 2006, Liberty Hill High School won its first state football championship, defeating traditional powerhouse Celina 22-19 in the Texas Class 3A Division II state final. Liberty Hill successfully defended that title, winning the 2007 crown by defeating the Gilmer Buckeyes 38-13 on December 15, 2007.
