Liberty High School (Henderson, Nevada)

Liberty High School is a high school in Henderson, Nevada. It is part of the Clark County School District. Before the school opened, prospective students chose the name "Liberty" and the school mascot "The Patriot" through a survey mailed to their homes. Liberty's team name is the Patriots. Liberty considers itself to be a "classical school."[clarify]

Liberty offers 5 different choir classes and an innovative approach to music in special education. Liberty's award winning[citation needed] choirs have been featured at festivals in San Diego and New York. Liberty's former director, Nikki Bakko-Toliver, has moved on to be co-director of the Concordia University Choir, in Moorhead, Minnesota. The current director is Claudia Bessette-Goetz.
