Liberated Syndication, often shortened to LibSyn, is a podcast media hosting company which opened in November 2004. It offers hosting of files to podcast producers under a monthly subscription model. Libsyn users have unlimited downloads and do not sign over content, maintaining ownership of their work.
A unique feature of Libsyn is that the monthly subscription plans relate to the amount of uploads a podcast producer may publish per month, not the amount of diskspace available. For example, one package allows the producer to upload 100MB per month. Previous months are archived and still available for unlimited download, albeit at slower speeds from the archive servers.
Libsyn supports RSS 2.0 feeds and the extended Apple iTunes podcasting tags.
