[edit] License tagging for Image:Yvette Fielding.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Yvette Fielding.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:13, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lyrics

Please don't add song lyrics to wikipeida, like you did to Walk This Way, it is a copyright violation. Oysterguitarist 15:01, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

As per Oysterguitarist's comment, please don't add lyrics as you did with Sexy! No No No.... Thanks. ~~ [Jam][talk] 15:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
For that matter, please don't add any lyrics to Wikipedia. ~~ [Jam][talk] 15:18, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] S Club 7 Go Wild!

I was just wondering where you got your information from. If you copied it directly from a site, it will need to be rewritten. However, if you wrote it all yourself, that's okay. :) The page just needs a little copyedit. Thanks for contributing nevertheless though. - ǀ Mikay ǀ 18:49, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry about it. You're doing fine. You just need to make sure you can back things up. Currently, there is a "This article reads like an advertisement" tag on the article, so you need to make sure there isn't any bias. (Even if it is tempting to say S Club were the greatest, which I'm fully, fully aware of!) I'll have to go through it and conform it to Wikipedia standards, but you've made a great start! Definitely saved me a job. :) - ǀ Mikay ǀ 10:09, 21 October 2007 (UTC) (P.S. You did put it in the right place)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:S Club Party Live Dvd Cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:S Club Party Live Dvd Cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Colours on Template:Girls Aloud

Aside from a perhaps "stylistic" preference you have, is there any reason why you added colours to the template? It doesn't really add anything to the template, and may make it more difficult for people with colour blindness or other disabilities to use it. ~~ [Jam][talk] 18:43, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling and grammar

Hi. When updating pages, please make sure to use proper spelling and grammar. I had to correct your changes to the Tangled Up Tour recently, and it looks like I'll have to do the same for The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits Tour. If you are unsure of spelling and grammar, copy your changes into a program with a spell checker before adding it to Wikipedia. Thanks. ~~ [Jam][talk] 15:45, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] June 2008

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Girls Aloud videography. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. ~~ [Jam][talk] 06:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

I've replied on my talk page. ~~ [Jam][talk] 11:16, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
