Liasis fuscus, Water python or Brown water python is a species of python native to Northern Australia[1]. Water pythons are a uniform dark, iridescent brown with a yellow underbelly[1]. Adults average 2 metres in length, but some specimens reach 3 metres[1].

The range of the water python encompasses the monsoonal belt in the north of Australia, including parts of Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland. These animals do not occur in permanently arid regions[1].
