Liarea hochstetteri hochstetteri is a subspecies of land snail, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Liareidae.

This subspecies is endemic to New Zealand, found in Northland in the North Island.
[edit] Shell description
The shell has a broad flange surrounding the peristome. Sculpture consists of closely spaced narrow axial plications, uniformly dark horny or sepia, and never with a colour pattern or hydrophanous markings.
Shell height is up to 10.1 mm, and width up to 5.8 mm.
