Liarea egea tessellata is a subspecies of small land snail, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Liareidae.

This subspecies is endemic to Northland in New Zealand.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is larger and taller than Liarea egea egea, with an extra half to one whorl, and has a more complicated hydrophanous pattern of zigzags and tesselations.
Shell height is up to 9.5 mm, and width up to 4.8 mm.
