Liam James Hammond was a fictional character on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. He was played by Mark Powley.
Liam was introduced as an employee at Tate Haulage. After kidnapping Chris Tate, he was revealed as the illegitimate son of Chris's late father Frank. On 11 November 1999, Liam was shot dead by his half-sister Zoe after taking her hostage as well when she went to rescue Chris.
