[edit] Title & Diacritics
This page was moved back to Li Xiannian after I moved it to Lǐ Xiānniàn. The reason cited was "use standard latin letters", but I looked through the naming conventions, and could not find more than a vague guideline on a proposed naming convention page, and even that isn't clear as to what to do. Why not have the tones in the title? It's more accurate and specific. Most names that have special Latin characters are used in the title, like Lech Wałęsa, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, Anders Jonas Ångström, Miyū Tsuzurahara, Mariko Kōda, etc. I think it looks better and is more specific if we have the plain Latin characters redirect to the specific pinyin name. Why not just make it Lee Shyennyen to make it easier for English speakers/readers/typers, then? --LakeHMM 04:26, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Biography
Why does it say Li fell from power in the GPCR? He was reelected to the politburo in 1969, and as a result was the longest continually serving politburo member in post-1949 CCP history (1956-87). [1]DOR (HK) (talk) 10:51, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
