The V (LG VX9800) is a CDMA mobile cell phone.[1] It was released For Verizon Wireless in 2005.[2]
Since then, it has been updated by the enV (VX9900), which is much slimmer and maintains most of the features of The V, while adding a 2.0 megapixel camera and stereo bluetooth support.[3]

The phone runs on CDMA modes 850 and 1900 and was approved by the FCC on March 7, 2005, with the ID of BEJVX9800. Its average store price as of December 2007 is $149.99, and its average refurbished cost is $99.99.
- Size and form
The V is an atypical clamshell with an internal antenna. It weighs 5.19 oz (147 g), and its dimensions are 4.57" x 1.97" x 1.00" (116 x 50 x 25 mm).
- Displays
The phone has 2 screens, both of which use an LCD display with TFD/TFD color. The main internal display is 320 x 256 pixels (18 bit), and the front external display is 160 x 128 pixels (65,000 colors).
- Memory
The phone has 128 MB of built-in, flash shared memory, with a phone book capacity of 1000 contacts and ability hold 200 one-minute voice memos. One can also use a miniSD expansion card.
- Camera and video
The V has a built in camera with a resolution of over one megapixel, an LED flash, business card reader, a self timer, night mode, and macro mode functions. Video captures can be up 12 seconds long with resolution up to QVGA (320 x 240 pixels).

It also includes high-speed 1xEV-DO r0 technology and wireless internet with Openwave 6.2.3 software, and the phone is capable of streaming multimedia.

There are many features present in the VX9800, including an alarm, BREW, a QWERTY keypad, both a basic and a tip calculator, a calendar, custom graphics and ringtones (polyphonic with 72 chords), data capability, Digital TTY/TDD, two-way SMS, MMS, and EMS, games, a headset jack, GPS, hearing aid compatibility, multiple language support (English and Spanish), multiple numbers per name (five plus two email addresses), a music player supporting MP3s with an equalizer, picture ID, T9 word, side keys, a full-duplex speaker phone, vibrate settings, compatibility with a USB cable, speaker-independent voice dialing as well as voice command and text-to-speech, and bluetooth version 1.1 support.
