The phone enters the market as a Fashion phone, but is also said to offer a decent mp3 player, has a memory card slot, and has an FM Radio so this phone may also be considered a music phone too. The phone comes in two versions - Platinum in which the bar under the screen is silver, and Gold where the bar is coloured of gold. There is also a Limited Edition version which features a gold bar made of 14k gold. This phone was announced mid-December 2006 and released early February 2007

The phone also lets you use any size picture for contacts, something not found on the original Chocolate. Performance has also is said to been updated. The phone's controls are still heat-sensitive but glow with a less intense red than the original Chocolates controls, and it still has the End Call button to the right side. It also now has a dedicated loudspeaker and can be used for calls.
[edit] Design, Retail Box, and Its Contents
The phone features a high-quality finish with a glossy black colour with red heat-sensitive controls and a metallic bar -with the words Chocolate, Black Label, Limited Edition, or if ordered directly from LG can be customized to say whatever desired- underneath the screen and above the directional controls. When slid up the phone reveals a checkered keypad and on the back a camera with flash and a self-portrait mirror and under it engravings of the word Chocolate and a design exclusive to the phone. On the back of the phone all there is the loudspeaker and the logo of LG.
Next up is the is the retail box. It is relatively the same as the original Chocolate box and has the same design except for the colour schemes, which will depend on the phone - yellow~gold and black (Gold Edition) or grey~silver and black (Platinum Edition).
