[edit] Cwmparc
Good work with this article! Much, much, much better than the last time I encountered it! Little did the vandal who created it know, he was doing Wikipedia a favour. Well done, and if you need any advise along the line, give us a shout! – Bubba hotep 22:27, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the encouragement! lw 16:42, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the acknowledgement for my work on the Cwmparc page, I really appreciate it. Satchy 21:49, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism
I've spent some time today undoing vandalism from anonymous IPs - how do you get the AntiVandalBot to pick up that an IP is a vandal?
- AntiVandalBot looks for patterns in the edits, not the source. There are many genuine editors from anon IPs, too. My advice is to use these templates judiciously (always try to assume good faith). Good luck. Xiner (talk, email) 17:04, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the info - I'm only removing what I'm 100% certain is vandalism - where the anon. IP is either blanking or adding obscene/inappropriate language. Best Wishes Leytonwd 17:16, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Linking to a Wikipedia page
Hi. In case you didn't know, colons are needed in only special cases. Please read this page for more details. Xiner (talk, email) 17:05, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dealing with vandalism
Hi Leytonwd, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for helping to revert vandalism. I saw that you placed a vandalblock template on a user's talk page. Please note that this will not result in a block. Blocks can only be applied by administrators. Non-administrators can report vandalism at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism if a user continues to do vandalism after all warnings have been issued. See Wikipedia:Vandalism#Dealing with vandalism for more information. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy Wikipedia. Regards, Accurizer 20:40, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Accurizer, Thanks for the info - I'll stick to warning templates! Leytonwd 20:47, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
