[edit] Jonathan Taylor Thomas vandalism
Hi LetyeWolfer, I watch over Jonathan Taylor Thomas's page and have noticed Gymnast4life3233 (talk) has vandalized it for the second time despite a warning. Could you please send a warning to him/her? Thanks! IndulgentReader (talk) 23:03, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding "repeat vandals"
No IP address will be blocked on sight simply because they have been blocked previously. Any admin who would perform such a block needs to reread our blocking policy. IP addresses change, and there are few occasions where it is obviously the same vandal. Please do not encourage people to report vandals to WP:AIV without proper warnings. It wastes time for both editors and admins. - auburnpilot talk 00:15, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Again, please stop adding your templates to IP talk pages. Your assertions are not true. - auburnpilot talk 18:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- AuburnPilot is correct. The header message you placed on User talk:71.98.153.145 and other IP talk pages is simply not accurate. Instead, please use {{ISP}} or {{SharedIP}}. Those are approved templates in which the instructions accurately reflect current policy. Thanks. — Satori Son 18:28, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Mark Green Edits
My sincere apologies, but I was deleting items that were placed there for pure partisan and political spite. Come on, explain to me why a "Nun Protest" is even there unless someone's got an axe to grind against the Ambassador. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.143.26.77 (talk) 00:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- First off, what would really have helped you was an account name. I look for vandalism based on anonymous IP addresses. Having an account gives you a lot of validity with many editors/counter-candalism patrollers. Second, citing why you were deleting. Removing information -without stating why- merely leads another editor to believe that you want something hidden.
- As for why nuns are relevant: that's a good question. I really don't know why. So, for that reason, ask the same question on the article's discussion page. Also, state why you think its not relevant (after reviewing the reference material provided in a link in this case) and allow a day or two (at least) to pass. Someone may respond and a dialogue will open as to how and improve the article. If no one does, then it can be well argued that consensus agrees with you. Yes, its not instantaneous and if you have an opposing political view, the gratification can be delayed. But, in the end, its the process that makes the article better, and that's why we're all here. Thanks for asking the question! --LeyteWolfer (talk) 01:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
I have since created a log-in account. Once again, my apologies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Viper3579 (talk • contribs) 01:27, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Happy Valentine's Day!
A short/sweet little message, which I hope has made your day better! Happy Valentine's Day!!! Wilhelmina Will (talk) 02:48, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Way cool. Thanks; I wasn't expecting that and it [[is]] appreciated! --LeyteWolfer (talk) 22:05, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Annoyance at another member
Okay I am a bit miffed at member NuSchu. It was at the British Airways article and I added the incident back in Jan 29 2007 where in LAX, they found a dead body at the wheel well. This member comes along and just deletes it saying it's a commmon thing, regardless it was still a major incident in LAX. (I should know I was there), I wanted to contact this member but I can see he is very unpopular so I didn't want to make a scene. I'm not sure if you're an admin or not or if you got any power but your name popped out from his member discussion page. I want to make a complaint about this but I'm not sure how to proceed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vegas07 (talk • contribs) 21:09, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- I must say you've hurt my feelings greatly by calling me "unpopular". I'm also not sure why you asked me to reply on a different user's talk page...but the reason I removed it is quite justified. I understood it was a good-faith edit, but I didn't think it passed our guidelines for notability. The BA 777 was notable because the aircraft had to be written off. These wheel-well deaths, while sad, are not uncommon in aviation. I don't see how this would have been significant to the article. Perhaps it has more significance in the LAX article, but not in the BA one. NcSchu(Talk) 21:32, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] expelled, pz, et al
I removed your edit because the mall screening is already in the article, see the second para here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expelled:_No_Intelligence_Allowed#Screenings feel free to add to it. Angry Christian (talk) 23:11, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, you're right. I'll add to that one. Thanks. --LeyteWolfer (talk) 23:15, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Miley Cyrus photos
I undid your addition for reasons talked about in talk:Miley Cyrus. We are not in any hurry to have current events info in the article and want to make sure we do it right, specifically for derogatory info in bio articles. I would appreciate it if you could comment on the issue in the discussion page and help us work to a consensus of how we can handle this issue. --NrDg 15:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like we cross-posted. I'll meet you at your's. --LeyteWolfer (talk) 15:34, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Please revisit Clifton Emmet "Cliff" Cushman
Could you please take another look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clifton Emmet "Cliff" Cushman? It turns out that there was another article for the same athlete at Clifton Cushman. --Eastmain (talk) 03:34, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- I sure will. Thanks for letting me know. --LeyteWolfer (talk) 04:24, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Lady Aleena's RfA
LeyteWolfer...Thank you for supporting my nomination for adminship. Through it I have become aware of a great many people who can help me in my future editing endeavors. Even though I was not promoted, your support shows that I still have something to contribute to Wikipedia, even if it is minor edits to fix spelling and grammar to working in WikiProjects to help others make great articles. If you wish to further discuss the nomination, please use its talk page. Stop by my talk page anytime, even if it is just to say hello. Have a wonderful day! - LA @ 04:38, 30 April 2008 (UTC) |

[edit] Draft Guidelines for Lists of companies by country - Review Request
Hi, I saw your comment on the List of companies of Iran talk page from a while ago. If you are still interested in policy creation, I've put together a draft set of guidelines for all Lists of companies by country, to hopefully ensure a minimum quality standard and consistency across all. I'd appreciate any feedback you may have as I look to to move this guideline forward. Many thanks! - Richc80 (talk) 18:09, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
