Leya

Leya is a transnational book publishing company founded in 1977, based in Amadora, Portugal. Named Texto Editores until 2007, Leya has recently gained notoriety thanks to the acquisition of several other prominent publishing companies in Portugal.

  • Gailivro, founded in 1987 and acquired in 2007.
  • Nova Gaia, founded in 1985 and acquired in 2007.
  • Oficina do Livro and Casa das Letras, the former publishing company of Diário de Notícias, acquired in 2008.
