Lexie MacDonald
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alexandra 'Lexie' MacDonald (nee McTavish) is a fictional character in the BBC TV series Monarch of the Glen. Lexie is played by Scottish actress Dawn Steele.
In Series 1-3, Lexie is the housekeeper and chef at Glenbogle House. She is involved in a love triangle (Duncan McKay loves her, she loves Archie MacDonald, but he loves Justine Thatcher). Lexie rejected Duncan's proposal when he thought he was a rich laird, but it turned out he was not. Lexie was responsible for Archie and Katrina Finlay's relationship, but Katrina left Glenbogle and Lexie thought she was after Archie's heart. Bank manager Stella Moon came to Glenbogle, and she also wanted Archie's affections. Archie chose Lexie, and they got married in Series 4.
In Series 5 Lexie became Laird of Glenbogle after Archie left her and Glenbogle to go and climb a mountain in Nepal with his sister Lizzie MacDonald in honour of their father Hector. Archie and Lexie moved to New Zealand in Series 6 to run a vineyard; however, Lexie was not happy, and she returned to Glenbogle where she kissed her husband's brother, Paul Bowman. They decided not to take their relationship forward, and Lexie eventually returned to New Zealand and her husband.
