Lex Gold

Lex Gold, CBE (born 14 December 1940 in Lanark, Scotland) is an administrator and former footballer who currently serves as chairman of the Scottish Premier League and a director of Caledonian MacBrayne.

Gold played professional football as a teenager, including an 18 month spell with Rangers[1]. He was a civil servant for over thirty years[2].

Gold was previously chairman of Hibernian, a position he resigned after the club were relegated in 1998[3]. Gold has also served the boards of NHS Lanarkshire, Scottish Enterprise, the Scottish Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of British Industry in Scotland[2].
