Hi, I noticed your edits to the Jaguar XJ article, and whilst it's great that you've corrected a few spelling mistakes, it's important that the &nbsp is retained between engine sizes so that something like 4.2 L stays on the same line rather than the 4.2 being on one line and the L wrapping onto the next line. Engine size is usually written as Bhp on Wikipedia too, as the correct abbreviation for horsepower is hp and not HP. Best Wishes. -- Nick ^t 21:50, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

For what it's worth, I agree with your observations. However, my agreement is based on my memory of reading UK motor magazines 30 years ago, so I hesitate to edit the article on your behalf. Besides, I suspect you are a lot firmer in your knowledge of the big Triumphs than I am. Ideally one should be able to quote chapter and verse for every statement, but (1) if everyone did that for every 'fact', hardly anything would get written and (2) not having to hand the reference for a source seems a poor reason for leaving blatant error uncorrected. You (or someone else) can always go back and enter a source reference when later it comes to the surface - eg when someone is going through the piles of old Motor magazines in the loft. Is there any reason why you should not enter the necessary corrections / edits on the Triumph 2000 article yourself? As far as the UK auto industry is concerned, there seem to be relatively few (of us) wiki contributors who remember as clearly as you and I do things that happened in the 1960s / 70!
