Lewis Hill (cricketer)

Lewis Gordon Hill was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club against Derbyshire at the County Ground, Derby, in 1882. Batting at number 3, he scored 5 and 8, took a catch and didn't bowl as Yorkshire ran out winners by 7 wickets. Despite conceding a deficit on first innings, Edmund Peate skittled the home team for 68 with 6 for 12 in their second innings.

He was born on November 2, 1860 in Manningham, Bradford and died on August 27, 1940 in Heaton in the same Yorkshire city.
