Lewis Haldane (born 13 March 1985 in Trowbridge) is a Welsh football striker, who currently plays for Bristol Rovers in Football League One.
Although Haldane was born in Trowbridge, due to parentage he has Welsh eligibility, and was called up to the U21 squad for the first time in August 2006[1]. He currently has one cap for the Welsh U21 side, having made his début in the 0-0 draw against Turkey on September 02, 2006.
A product of the Southampton youth academy, the pacey young forward is now primarily seen as wingman, and is comfortable on either flank. It is in these positions that he played the majority of the 2006-07 campaign for Bristol Rovers. One of the highlights of his career was playing in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, on 1 April 2007, against Doncaster Rovers. Almost 40,000 Bristol Rovers fans, out of a crowd of 59,000, were at the match to see Rovers lose 3-2 after extra time.
