Levashovo Memorial Cemetery

Levashovo Memorial Cemetery (Russian: Левашовское мемориальное кладбище) - cemetery of victims of Soviet repressions during Great Purge, at Levashovo, Saint Petersburg. Since these NKVD mass graves were open to public in 1989 more than 22 memorials were erected, most notable the Moloch of Totalitarianism Memorial [1]. The latest addition is new memorial to Italians who died in Soviet Gulag [2]. On the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions (October 30) ceremonies are organized there by the City of St. Petersburg.
