Leukaemia Foundation

The Leukaemia Foundation was established in 1975 in Queensland, Australia. As of 2008, the Foundation Chief Executive Officer is Peter Johnstone.

The Foundation provides free accommodation and support to patients diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma. The Foundation also funds over $1 million per annum to research projects which seek to find a cure or better and less invasive forms of treatment.

The Foundation has its Head Office in the MINCOM Building in Brisbane and has five accommodation and support centres (four in Brisbane and one in Townsville). The Leukaemia Foundation Research Unit is located at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in Brisbane.
