Spermatogenesis
Hi there! Thankyou for your work on this article and alerting me to the incorrect use of ovum in it. I corrected it in a subsequent edit. I would also like to know why you changed the British English spelling of "fertilise" to the American English spelling - it's rather a sore point for me as I'm constantly having to watch articles I've written from scratch in BE to make sure they remain so. Thankyou! -- Serephine ♠ talk - 08:10, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Lebanon
Hi LestatdeLioncourt,
I put a small number of comments on Talk:Lebanon. Everything is looking really good! --Ling.Nut 16:57, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- PS I sent you an email. If you'll reply to it, I'll send you some articles about art in Lebanon. I have no idea whether they will be useful or not, since I know little or nothing about art. But they might be. --Ling.Nut 18:02, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
if your email is not working..
If your email isn't working, I could also mail the articles to User:George.Saliba or someone else...--Ling.Nut 17:14, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- My computer monitor is broken (I'm using a library computer now). I'm gonna buy a cheap used monitor. When I get one, I'll send those files to George.Saliba. --Ling.Nut 17:41, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, why not? I'm sure George will find them just as useful. I've fixed the problem with my email though (admission decisions are emailed tonight, so I had to that), so no worries. —LestatdeLioncourt 18:16, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

My RfA
Thank you for participating in my RfA, which did not succeed and was closed early at 2/10/9. I am not discouraged, however, and will use the experience to improve my skills until a later date when I may succeed. Yuser31415 20:44, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Picture
Hello! I am very glad you joined our discussion. Your help with the Location of bombings picture is greatly appreciated. There is still one issue with the picture. It uses the word "assault" in the title which is not neutral, and hence not encyclopedic. "Attacks" in its replacement, or "Location of bombings" instead would be suffice, or even have that row removed (since the key below it explains what the map is and what the circles represent). If you can and/or know how to make this adjustment we would be very thankful. Thank you. --Shamir1 02:59, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Anytime, Shamir :). I see George's already taken care of the "assault". Just for future reference, I'm male. —LestatdeLioncourt 14:03, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Jaakobou
Apparently the user Jaakobou is interested in continuing to push his POV in the Lebanon article before we've finished discussing it on the Talk pages. Unfortunately I'm restricted from reverting any further by 3RR, so please keep an eye on the article in the mean time. Cheers. — George Saliba [talk] 09:47, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for having the article protected. Hopefully we're able to have an in-depth discussion with Jaakobou now, and reach some consensus, without having to continually revert edits while reaching such consensus. — George Saliba [talk] 20:06, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- I leave the unprotection up to you; I'll support your decision either way. My only thoughts on the matter are that while I'm hoping we can discuss the issue with Jaakobou himself, he hasn't made any edits since our initial discussion, there don't seem to be many other editors interested in the subject in question, and the matter is blocking concrete improvements to the article. Perhaps give him another 24 hours (to make it a full three days), in case he's more likely to have time to reply during the weekend. Again, I'll support whatever you decide on the matter. — George Saliba [talk] 23:52, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism
Hi, I fixed some vandalism at the Yellowstone Park page and you reverted it back to the vandalized version. That user posted 2 paragraphs about a different park and then finished the last paragraph with a pornography reference. Please fix it.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.122.248.237 (talk • contribs)
Where are you from
Hi! Which country are you from? If you're a Lebanese, since your Arabic is good, I would like you to visit this website (since we're looking for Lebanese - and even non-Lebanese - to help improve Lebanon-related articles):
- Arabic WikiProject Lebanon <- we are critically low in membership
Also consider going to the English version by clicking here
Thanks. - Qasamaan 22:00, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
P.S. If you're Lebanese, add {{User_Lebanese}} on your user page.

A small request
Hye Lestat, I tried to send you an email. Check if that has my email address in it. Cheers. — George Saliba [talk] 17:47, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Tonsillitis
As far as I know, most cases of acute tonsillitis clear up without any therapeutic intervention. As far as I know, the only treatment is at the symptom level, usually amounting to the occasional Tylenol to ease the associated sore throat. Some folks have an increased susceptibility to group A streptococcus (S. pyogenes), and it's this population of folks with tonsillitis that can be treated with antibiotics. If your aunt's doc identified in her an increased risk for an underlying group A strep infection [1], the amoxicillin comes as no big surprise to me. All that said, I'll note that this does not constitute medical advice, as I am but a lowly medical student and have not yet had formal training in the subject. :-) In any case, I agree with you: it's deplorable how frequently docs reach unnecessarily -- and often blindly -- for the prescription pen. Hope that helps, David Iberri (talk) 20:14, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- No medical history whatsoever? Sad. Anyhow, I don't think it'd be impolite at all to ask why your aunt was prescribed antibiotics. It all depends on how you couch it: I'd say something like "Hey doc, I've been hearing a lot about antibiotic resistance and how careful you folks are being with prescribing antibiotics lately. Out of curiosity, what sorts of things do you have to consider when giving antibiotics to people like my aunt with tonsillitis?" I know, it's marginally cheesy, but it'll get the point across without giving the doc any excuse to get defensive. I know you know this isn't medical advice, it's mostly just to protect myself I suppose. :-) Good luck, David Iberri (talk) 00:39, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

No worries man. Rest up, and come back when you can. Disputes on controversial topics always benefit from input from level-headed editors such as yourself. Thanks for your support in any event. :) — George Saliba [talk] 16:16, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Help?
Hello Lestat. Let me start by congratulating you on the great job you are doing for WP:Lebanon. Keep up the good work dude. Listen, I need to know if you happen to know who Lcnj is? Please try to keep this question confidential and delete it asap from this page when you read it. See, Lcnj has called me to my old cell phone some days ago and threatened me :-) So the new owner gave me his number. Now I need his name so I could file a complaint. What he said was completely impolite and could be considered as stalking to say the least... anyway, I would appreciate it if you would email me on my user page to tell me if you could help me. Please erase this comment when you read it and click here to see in which way and with which tone he has been interacting with me.. Thanks a lot Lestat. --Jixavius @ 22:53, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
