[edit] Heath Steele, New Brunswick

Hi! I noticed you moved Heath Steele, NB to Heath Steele Mines, NB. I've been trying to standardize the names of geographic locations across the Maritimes based on their "official" names as provided by the Geographic Names Board of Canada....

This is the entry for Heath Steele:

http://geonames2.nrcan.gc.ca/cgi-bin/v9/sima_unique_v9?english?DAJXN?C

As you can see, it is an unincorporated area in Northumberland County, similar to most rural communities and was administered by the local service district for areas north of Newcastle, Beaver Brook, etc. Granted nobody lives at Heath Steele (I've driven through on that road several times), but it doesn't have the term "mine" or "mines" in the geographic name.

The actual subsidiary company owned by Noranda was called "Heath Steele Mines Ltd." (sometimes referred to as the "Heath Steele Division") and the mine itself is referred to by government and industry sources as the "Heath Steele Mine" but the geographic location for the mine and railway was simply "Heath Steele, New Brunswick".
