The article speaks for itself. Les Bowie provided special effects for arguably the most famous horror studio in film history (namely, Hammer Film Productions), as well as working on other notable films mentioned in the article (including Superman, one of the most successful films of all time, and for which he was one of a team of artists to receive an Oscar).
