Lestes tridens is a species of damselfly in family Lestidae. It is found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and possibly Burundi. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, shrub-dominated wetlands, swamps, freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marches.
