Lestes amicus is a species of damselfly in family Lestidae. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, possibly the Republic of the Congo, and possibly the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, rivers, intermittent rivers, and shrub-dominated wetlands.
