Lester Burry

Lester L. Burry (1898 – 1977) born Safe Harbour, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. He was ordained a United Church minister in 1924.
National Convention Delegate for Labrador 1946-8. President of the Newfoundland Conference of the United Church 1959-60. Burry was pro-Confederation. With his election to the Newfoundland National Convention in 1946 Burry became the first elected representative for Labrador.
